Chapter 8: Plans

Andy walked into the RWHC about an hour later. The mark on her face was starting to form a bruise along with the marks on her arms. "Morning, Hawkins..any messages?" Andy asked, walking up to Lana. "No but uh.." Lana said but stopped when she saw Andy. "Whoa! What happened to you?" Lana asked. "Oh, long story. I'm fine," Andy said. "Okay," Lana said, a little unsure. "So you were saying?" Andy asked. "Saying? Oh yeah...you have a patient waiting," Lana said, handing Andy a file. "Thanks Hawkins," Andy said and walked into her office. As Andy walked into her office, Lu walked out of hers. "Okay, Becky, come back for a re-check in two weeks okay?" Lu said, talking to her patient. "Okay, Thanks Lu," the patient said and walked out the door. Lu turned to Lana. "Who's next Lana?" Lu asked. "um..no one. you don't have anyone until 10," Lana said. Lu nodded her head. She started to walk away when Lana called after her. "Hey kid?" Lu turned around. "Yeah Lana?" Lu asked. "What happened to Dr. Campbell?" Lana asked. "Oh uh, it's a long story," Lu said. "Well somebody tell Lana before she gets mad," Lana said. Lu sighed. "Okay fine I'll tell you, but you can't tell anyone okay?" Lu said. Lana nodded her head. "It was Les," Lu said, whispering. "What?" Lana said. "Yeah he.." Lu began and she told Lana the whole story. When she finished, Lana had a shocked look on her face. "Are you sure that she's okay?" Lana asked. "Well I am going to check her later and last night when Milo went over she felt more safe," Lu said. "That's good," Lana said, and was about to say something when Andy came out of her office. Lu and Lana stared at Andy. "Delgado..did you tell Hawkins?" Andy asked. Lu nodded. "I'm sorry Andy," Lu said. "Don't worry about it Delgado," Andy said. Lu smiled at her. "Who's next Hawkins?" Andy asked. "Um..nobody. You don't have anyone until 10," Lana said. Andy looked at her watch. It said 9:25. Andy sighed. "Thanks Hawkins," Andy said and turned to walk back into her office. "Hey Andy," Lu called after her. "Yeah Delgado?" Andy asked. Lu followed her into her office. "I don't have a patient until 10 either. Do you want me to check you?" Lu asked. Andy sighed. "Well I guess I need to get it over with," Andy said. "Okay," Lu said

About 15 mintues later. Lu was done with the exam. "So Andy, what are you going if he comes back?" Lu asked. "Well I'm not worried about me. I am just worried about Jesse and Lizzy. Right now my main concern is them," Andy said. Lu nodded. She could see Andy wasn't that comfortable talking about this right now so she changed the subject. "So..how are your wedding plans going?" Lu asked. "They're going okay. We decided to get married in December," Andy said. Lu smiled. "That sounds great," Lu said. "Yeah, Milo and I are going to talk about this more at lunch," Andy said. "I thought he was off today," Lu asked. "He is. He said he wanted to be with me," Andy said smiling. "That's so sweet," Lu said. "So Delgado..what about you?" Andy asked. "What about me?" "Well have you found someone yet?" Andy asked. Lu shook her head. "No not yet," Lu said. "Well I'm sure that the right guy will come along soon," Andy said. Lu nodded her head and walked back into her office. Andy looked at her watch. She had about ten minutes until her next patient so she decided to go up and see Milo. She knocked on his office door a few minutes later. She heard a faint "come" and opened the door. Milo saw Andy walk in and he stood up and walked over to her. He placed a kiss on her lips. "How are you?" Milo asked her. "I'm fine, Lu just checked me," Andy said. "And?" Milo asked, leading her to the couch. "She said I'm fine," Andy said. Milo smiled. "That's good," he said. Andy nodded her head. "What if Les comes back?" Milo asked. Andy laughed. "Delgado just asked me the same thing. I told her that my main concern right now is the girls. I feel fine and I don't think that he will come back. Not after the girls saw him," Andy said. Milo nodded his head. Andy looked at her watch. "I should probably get going. I have a patient coming in at ten," Andy said, standing up from the couch. Milo stood up too. "Are we still on for lunch?" Milo asked her. "Of course," Andy said and she placed a kiss on his cheek and walked back to the RWHC

Noon came around before she knew it and she walked up to Lana. "Hawkins..I'm going to have lunch now. I'll be back soon," Andy said. "Okay Dr. Campbell. Your next patient isn't until 12:45," Lana said. "Thanks Hawkins," Andy said and went to find Milo. She found him a few minutes later and sat down next to him. "Hi," she said, giving him a kiss. "Hey," Milo said. They ate lunch and went over wedding plans. They decided to get married in a church and then have the recption at this hotel down the street. Lu, Lana, Jesse and Lizzy would be Andy's bridemaids and Peter, Robert, Nick and Marc would be Milo's groomsmen. They would honey-moon in Hawii. Andy looked at her watch. "Milo..I have to go. I have a patient in five minutes," Andy said. She stood up and placed a kiss on his lips and ran out of the cafateria to the RWHC.

Andy was sitting in her office a couple hours later when there was a knock on the door. "Come in," Andy said. Milo walked in and she stood up. He kissed her on the head. "Hey," Andy said. "Hi," "What are you doing down here?" Andy asked him. "Well I was wondering if you would like to go out to dinner tonight?" Milo asked her. "Oh. Well um..the girls and I were kind of going out tonight. Kind of a girls night out thing," Andy said. Milo nodded his head. "Okay have fun," Milo said. "We could get together tomorrow," Andy suggested. "That sounds good," Milo said and kissed her. "I love you," he said when they parted. "I love you too," Andy said. She smiled up at him and kissed him again. This kiss was a little longer and more passionate. They parted when there was a knock on the door. "Come in," Andy said. "Hey Andy, I was wondering.." Lu said but stopped when she looked at them. Lu smiled and said, "Should I come back later?" Andy blushed. "No Delgado, it's okay. What did you need?" Andy asked. "I just needed a consult for a patient," Lu said. "Well I should go," Milo said. He kissed Andy on the cheek. "I'll see you later," Milo said. "Bye," Andy said. Lu laughed. "What?" Andy asked, walking back over to her desk. "Nothing, you two just look so cute together," Lu said. Andy smiled.

Chapter 9: Girls Night Out

Girls! Let's go!" Andy called out. "Coming!" Jesse called back, leading her younger sister down the stairs. Andy glanced at her watch. "If we want to make it to the movies on time we need to go now!" Andy said, handing the girls their coats. "Okay okay. Let's go," Jesse said and followed her mom out to the car. "Girls, I think we need to talk," Andy said, driving on the way to the movies. "What about?" Jesse asked. She was sitting up front and was playing around with the radio stations. "Um..about the other night," Andy said. "What about?" Lizzy asked. "About...your dad," Andy said. Jesse stopped playing with the radio stations and leaned back into her seat. Lizzy sat there and didn't say anything. After a minute of silence, Jesse broke it. "What about him?" Andy sighed. "Well, what do you think about what happened?" Andy asked. This time, it was Jesse's turn to sigh. "I don't mom. I guess you were right, he is a bad person," Andy looked at her oldest daughter. "Jesse, I never said that your father was a bad person," Andy said. Jesse looked out the window. "I know mom, it's just..." Jesse began. "Just what sweetie?" Andy said, pulling to a stop for the red light. She looked at her daugher. "Nothing, never mind." Jesse said. Andy looked towards her youngest daughter. "What do you think sweetie?" Andy asked. "I don't know. What if daddy comes back and get mad again? Then he might hit you again," Lizzy said. The light turned green and Andy had to go back to driving. "Lizzy, you're dad will never hit me again. I won't let him touch me again," Lizzy looked down at her hands. "But what if he gets mad at me and Jesse. Will he hit us?" After Lizzy said that, it felt like Andy's heart was just stabbed. "She thinks that her father will come back and hit her," Andy thought, but then snapped out of them to answer her daughters question. "No, Lizzy he won't. I won't let him, okay?" Andy said. "Okay. I know that you and Milo will keep us safe," Lizzy said. Andy smiled and Jesse looked at her. "Mom, Lizzy's right. You and Milo will keep us safe...right?" Jesse asked. "Of course," Andy said. "Good because Milo is cool," Jesse said. "Just cool?" Andy asked. "No, he's a lot more than cool right Lizzy?" Jesse said, looking at her sister. "Right Jesse. We love him mom and we're glad that you're marrying him," Lizzy said. This made Andy's heart melt. They pulled into the parking lot of the movie theater and Andy parked the car. "Mom?" Jesse asked, as they were getting out of the car. "Yeah?" Andy asked, walking towards her. "Have you guys talked about wedding plans yet?" Andy smiled and told them some things that her and Milo planned out.

Andy and the girls walked out of the movie theater about two hours later. They decided to go out to dinner and over dinner, Andy told them all the other plans for the wedding. She told them that they planned to get married in December, which was seven months from now. She asked if Jesse and Lizzy wanted to be two of her bridemaids and they galdly said yes. She told them that she was getting together with Milo tomorrow night to talk about it some more. When they were through with dinner, Jesse begged to go shopping and Andy said yes. Lizzy was in the dressing room trying on some shirts and Jesse was browsing for some. "So Jesse, what do you really think about Milo?" Andy asked. Jesse looked at her mom. "I think that he's great mom. I'm glad that you're marrying him," Jesse said and went back to looking at the clothes. She held up a baby pink short-sleeve. "What do you think of this?" Jesse asked. "Um..I think that you should try it on," Andy said and smiled at her daughter.

The next day Andy walked into the RWHC and saw Lu, Lana and Peter talking around Lana's desk. They were talking quietly and stopped talking when they saw Andy walk in. "Good morning Hawkins, any messages?" Andy asked. Lana shook her head. "Nope sorry Dr. Campbell," Lana said. Andy looked at the group of three. "Is something going on?" Andy asked. "Nope," Peter said. "Nothing is going on, where would you get that idea?" Lu said, trying not to smile and trying to look serious. "I don't know," Andy said. She took one last look at them and then walked into her office. She shed off her coat and replaced it with her white lab coat. The intercom went off. 'Dr. Campbell to the E.R. Dr. Campbell to the E.R.' Andy sighed and ran up to the ER. "Who paged Campbell?" Andy called out when she got up to the ER. "Over here," Milo called out. He was standing by one of her patients who was having a heart attack, since he was by a patient she called him by doctor. She walked over to Milo. "What do we have Dr. Morton?" Andy asked. "Well I was told that this was a patient of yours so we thought we should page you. This is.." Milo began, but Andy cut him off. "Tracy Jones. I just saw her a week ago," Andy said. "Well Ms. Jones here had a mild MI," Milo stated. "Okay thanks," Andy said and looked at her patient's chart. "How long?" Andy asked. "Well when her daughter called that was about ten minutes ago and when she was brought in the heart attack was still going and it just stopped. So I would say for about twenty-five minutes," Milo said. Then added, "She's still out though," "Okay I want vitals checked every ten minutes and let's keep that IV in her," Andy told the nurse. The nurse nodded her head and got ready to check the patient's vitals. Milo and Andy walked away from the patient. "I just don't get it. She was perfectly fine last week when I saw her," Andy said. "Yeah well heart attacks can happen at any time," Milo said, taking off his rubber gloves. "Yeah, I guess so," Andy said. "So are we still on for tonight?" Milo asked her. Andy nodded her head. "Great I'll see you at my aparment at five then?" Milo asked as they walked out of the ER. "That sounds good," Andy said. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and walked back to the RWHC.

At five that evening, Andy pulled into Milo's drive-way. She turned off the car and walked to the front door. She knocked and a few seconds later Milo greeted her with a kiss. She smiled at him and he led her inside. He had made her dinner and they sat disscusing wedding plans. "So what color do you want to wear?" Milo asked her as he was picking up the dishes. "Well I was thinking cream?" Andy suggested. "That sounds good," Milo said as he placed the dishes into the sink. "And then for the bridemaids I was thinking either pink or blue. Because the girls look pretty in both those colors," Andy said. "Okay well you have time to decide," Milo said. Andy smiled at him and they walked into the living room. Andy slipped off her shoes and sat down on the couch. Milo sat down next to her. She told him exactly what Jesse and Lizzy had said from the night before. "They really said that?" Milo said after Andy had finished. Andy nodded her head. Milo smiled and Andy kissed him on the lips. "You know it is true," Milo said when they parted. "What's true?" Andy asked him. "About me keeping the girls safe. And keeping you safe," Milo said. Andy's heart melted once again. She smiled and kissed him once again. They stayed on the couch and talked about wedding plans some more. When they were done, Milo led her upstairs.

Chapter 10: Listen

Andy and Milo fell asleep in each other's arms like always. She had her head rested on his chest and he had his arm around her and his face buried into her hair. As Andy was sleeping she fell into a dream:

"Kids let's go!" Andy called out from the stairs. "Coming mom!" Jesse called out. Her and Lizzy were leading the twins downstairs. Milo and Andy have been married for about five years and their twins were four years old. "Okay are you guys ready?" Andy asked, handing all four of her kids a coat. "Yes mommy," Sarah the oldest of the twins said. "And are you ready Seth?" Andy asked her youngest child. Seth nodded his head and Milo walked into the living room. "Hi daddy!" Seth said and smiled up at his father. Milo picked him and kissed him on the head. "Hi Seth!" Milo said, smiling at his son. Andy smiled at them. "Are you guys ready to go?" Milo asked, placing his son back down. All four kids nodded their heads. "Girls, will you get the twins in the car please?" Andy asked. "Sure mom," Jesse said and led the twins out the door. Lizzy followed. Once they were outside, Andy turned and faced Milo. "So I'll see you at work?" Andy said. Milo nodded his head. She smiled and kissed him on the lips. "I love you," Andy said when they parted. "I love you too," Milo said and pulled her closer to him and kissed her. When they parted, Andy said, "Hmm...save that thought for tonight," Milo smiled at her and kissed her one last time before she had to go.

Andy awoke from her dream when Milo's phone rang. Milo sat up sleepily and Andy watched him. "Morton," he said. When he didn't say anything for a few minutes, Andy sat up and watched him. "Yeah okay. Just give her an IV and check vitals every ten minutes. Okay bye," Milo said and hung up. When he turned, he saw Andy was awake. "Hey, sorry to wake you," Milo said. "That's okay," Andy said. Milo layed back down and so did Andy. She layed her head on his chest and Milo kissed her on top of her head. "I had a dream about us," Andy said. "Really? What was it about?" Milo asked. "We were already married. Five years and we had four year old twins," Andy said smiling. "I had a dream like that?" Milo said. "Yeah?" Andy asked. "Yeah. But they weren't mine. You went back to Les," Milo said. "That sounds more like a night-mare then a dream," Andy said. Milo laughed. "Yeah it was," Milo said. "Well you know that you don't have to worry about that right?" Andy said and looked up at him. "Yeah I know," Milo said. Andy smiled and kissed him on the lips. They fell asleep five minutes later, in each other's arms. Andy and Milo woke up a few hours later. Milo woke first and kissed Andy on her nose. Her eyes opened and Milo saw the beautiful eyes he loved to look into every day. "Hey," Milo said. "Hi," Andy said. She smiled at him and they their eyes locked for a minute and Milo kissed her on the lips. When they parted, Milo's phone rang once again. Andy laughed and Milo kissed her again. "Are you gonna answer that?" Andy asked. "No," Milo said and pulled Andy in for a deep kiss. Andy gladly returned his kiss and they ended up making love before they had to get up and get ready to go to work.

Andy walked into the RWHC about an hour and a half later. "Good morning Hawkins. Any messages?" Andy asked. "Um..yeah. Mr. Campbell called for you." Lana said, handing Andy a piece of paper. "Les called?" Andy asked surprised. She read the piece of paper and sighed. She walked into her office and placed her briefcase on her desk. She sighed once again and sat down and looked at the piece of paper in her hand. She gently layed the paper on her desk and took of her coat. She replaced it with her white lab coat, like she does almost every day. She looked at the piece of paper one more time before walking out of her office. "Okay Hawkins, who's my first patient?" Andy asked. "Ms. Johnsen," Lana called out and handed Andy a file. "Thanks Hawkins," Andy said and walked into her exam room with her patient. The day got more busy after Ms. Johnsen. Andy couldn't even find time to get coffee. Between patients in the clinic and rushing up to the ER. Things started to calm down around twelve thirty. "Hawkins...what time is my next patient?" Andy asked as her previous patient just left. "Um..not until one, Dr. Campbell," Lana said, while watching her soap opera. "Okay well then I am going up to lunch," Andy said and started to head to the elevators. Milo had come down just as Andy had left and walked up to Lana. "Is Andy in?" he asked. Lana looked up from her soap. "You just missed her. She went up to lunch," Lana said. "Okay thanks," Milo said and made his way to the elevators. Milo found Andy sitting in the corner of the cafteria. He walked over to her and placed a kiss on top of her head. "Hey," Andy said. "Hi. What's wrong?" Milo asked as he sat down. "Well um..Les called this morning. Before I got into work," Andy said. "Really?" Milo said. Andy nodded her head "Well..?"Milo asked. "He left a message telling me to listen to the radio tonight at 8, and that if you wanted to, you should," Andy said. "Okay." Milo answered. Andy looked at him. "What?" "Let's listen tonight at 8, I want to know." Milo said. Andy smiled. "Okay. Why don't you come over to my place? Jesse and Lizzy both have plans and we can have the whole house to ourselves," Andy said. "That's sounds good," Milo said. His pager went off and he looked down at it. "Andy I am sorry, but I have to go," Milo said. Andy nodded her head. Milo stood up and kissed her on her head, and left. Andy walked back to the RWHC to finish her day. She told Lu and Lana what Les had asked her to do. Lu and Lana said that they would listen to the radio as well.

Milo went over to Andy's house later that night. Andy greeted him with a kiss and they had dinner together. Eight o'clock came by fast and Andy turned on the radio. Lu had all night clinic and Lana stayed later to listen to the radio with Lu. At exactly 8, the DJ came on to the radio. "Okay folks, we have a guest here with us tonight. He was here before, but here is Les Campbell everyone," the DJ said. Les's voice came on to the radio. "Hey, I just wanted to put out another song for my ex-wife Dr. Andy Campbell. I am sorry for what happend about two weeks ago," Les began. Milo saw Andy wince at what he said but they kept listening. "She is getting remarried and I just want to say that I still love her and I want her to come back to me, but I know she probably won't. Still, dreams can come true. And I know this song has different names but...Andy knows who I'm talking about. So Andy, if you're listening, I'm sorry and I want another chance! Please?" Les finished and the DJ came back on. Andy and Milo looked at each other. Andy could tell what he was feeling, and the song came on:

The song ended and Andy and Milo looked at each other, shocked. While at the clinic, Lu and Lana did the same. Andy and Milo stopped looking at each other when Andy's phone rang. She walked over and picked it up, while Milo turned off the radio. "Campbell," Andy said as she picked up the phone. "Mom?" the other voice said. "Hey Jesse? What's up?" Andy asked "Um...mom. I need you to pick me up," Jesse said.

Chapter 11: Surgery

"What's wrong Jesse?" Andy asked. "Um mom...I got in an aciddent," Jesse said. Andy felt her heart stop. "What?" Andy asked quietly. Milo was wondering what was wrong because Andy was close to tears. "I'm at Rittenhouse mom. Will you come" Jesse asked. "Yeah sweetie, I'll be right there," Andy said."Okay thanks mom. I love you," said Jesse. "I love you too, honey" Andy said, trying to hold back her tears, but the second she hung up the phone, tears started to fall. Milo walked over to her. "What's wrong Andy?" he asked. Andy looked up at him. "Um...Jesse, she um...got in an acciddent," Andy said. "Is she okay?" Milo asked. "I don't know, but we have to get to Rittenhouse," Andy said, going over to grab her coat. Milo followed and got his coat. "Okay, come on I'll drive," Milo said. Andy nodded her head and they made their to Rittenhouse. A few minutes later, Andy and Milo pulled into the parking lot of the ER. They got out of the car and ran into the ER. Nick was helping a patient and saw Andy and Milo walk in. He excused himself and walked over to the couple. "Biancavilla, where is my daugher?" Andy asked, close to tears again. "She's is curtain 2," Nick said. "Is she okay?" Milo asked. Nick nodded his head. "For now. I want to keep her overnight though," Nick said. "What? Why?" Andy asked. "Because she hit her head and she is going to need surgery. She's going up in about two hours," Nick said. Tears started to fall down Andy's face. "Okay thanks. We're going to go and see her," Milo said. Nick nodded his head and Andy and Milo went to where Jesse was. Andy pulled back the curtain. Jesse was hooked up to a heart montior and had two IV's. Andy walked over to her. Jesse looked like she was crying. Her eyes were red, and Andy could tell she was in pain. "Hey honey," Andy said, stroking her daughter's hair. "Hi mom," Jesse said. "What happend?" Andy asked. Milo found a chair and pulled it over to where Andy was, and she sat down. "Well um...I guess I should start from the begnning," Jesse said. "That would be a good idea," Andy said. "Ok, well um...mom, I wasn't over at Anna's house, like I told you I was," Jesse said. "What?" Andy asked, confused. "Well I was, but only for about an hour. We went to a party," Jesse said. Andy felt like her heart was racing. Jesse continued. "A few of my friends had a drink...and so did I. I was the one who didn't have as much as them, so I drove. These other kids were driving too, leaving from the party and we hit. And um...Anna went flying through the windshield...and she didn't make it mom," Jesse said, crying. Tears started to fall down Andy's face. "My..best friend...is dead, and it's all my fault," Jesse said, and the tears came non-stop. Andy just stared at her daughter. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know what to do. Andy sighed, Jesse was crying, and Milo just stood there. "Ok sweetie, um..I'm going to go and talk to Dr. Biancavilla okay?" Andy said. Jesse nodded her head and wiped the tears from her face, even though she was still crying and the tears she wiped away were replaced quickly by more tears. Milo gently touched Jesse's leg and followed Andy. Andy was talking to Nick about Jesse. "What does she need surgery for?" Andy asked. "Well um..." Nick began and pulled out an x-ray of Jesse's shoulder. "Her shoulder muscle got hit on the window and it's broken and we need go in and fix it, it won't take that long," Nick said, and put back Jesse's x-ray. "Okay. I want to scrub in," Andy said. "Andy..I don't think you should," Milo said. "But I have to help her Milo," Andy said, tears falling down again. Milo placed his hand on Andy's shoulder. "Andy, the best thing you can do for Jesse right now, is to let the others do the surgery. We..we..can make sure that one of the best surgeons in the hospital does the surgery, okay?" Milo said. Andy sighed and wiped away the tears. "Okay," she said and her and Milo walked back to curtain 2.

About two hours later, the surgeon's came to where Jesse was and wheeled her down to surgery. Andy and Milo followed and waited in the surgery waiting room. They were silent for the first few minutes until Andy spoke up, "I can't believe this happend." Milo who was standing, sat down next to Andy. "I know, I can't either," Milo said. Andy sighed and looked at Milo. "I just...I don't know. I guess I feel like this is partly my fault," Andy said. "But it's not your fault," Milo said. Andy sighed and stood up. "I know that..I just.." Andy said. She looked down at the ring on her left ring finger. She touched it and looked at Milo again. Milo looked at her and stood up and walked over to her. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Andy, you shouldn't feel that way. It's not your fault," Milo said. Andy sighed and buried her face into his chest. Milo wrapped his arms around her gently rubbed her back. He kissed her on her head and she buried her face deeper into his chest. They stood like that for a few minutes and then Milo led her over to the chairs. They sat down and Andy layed her head on Milo's shoulder. They sat like that for a half hour until Andy sighed and stood up. She pushed back her hair and leaned against the wall. "I hate waiting for her to come out of surgery. When she had her back surgery, it felt like I was waiting for years," Andy said. Milo leaned back in his chair. "I know what you mean," Milo said. Andy looked at him with a look of interset. "My cousin...had a lot of surgery done. I used to always wait for him, since we were so close," Milo said. "Why did he have to have a lot of surgery?" Andy asked. "Because he had..." Milo began and sighed. Andy walked over to the chairs and sat down in the one next to him. "Milo..it's okay. You can tell me," Andy said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "He had a brain tumor," Milo said. "Oh," Andy said and gently rubbed his shoulder. Milo took Andy's hand into his hand and kissed it gently. "Jesse will be okay. I know she will. She's strong...just like her mother," Milo said. Andy smiled at him and kissed him gently on the lips. Five minutes later, the surgeon walked out of the O.R. "Jesse is okay, she did good through the surgery. She should be able to go home in about two days," the surgeon. "Thank you," Andy said and sighed of relief. The surgeon walked back towards the O.R. and turned and faced Milo. They embraced and shared a short kiss, before going into Jesse's recovery room.

About an hour later, Jesse awoke. "Mom?" she whispered. "I'm right here honey," Andy said. "Where's Milo?" Jesse whispered. "I'm right here Jesse," Milo said. "Honey, why don't you go back to sleep? You need the rest," Andy said. "Ok," Jesse whispered and fell back asleep. Andy looked at Milo before falling asleep in the chair next to Jesse's bed. Andy awoke a couple of hours later and saw Milo sleeping in a chair as well. She smiled at how Milo was always there for her. She stood up and kissed him on the head, and walked out of the room. She was sitting in her office when Milo found her a half an hour later. He stood in the doorway and found her just sitting there in the dark, staring off into space. "Hey," Milo said, and Andy jumped. "You scared me," Andy said. "Sorry. Can I come in?" he asked. Andy nodded her head and Milo sat in the chair across from her. "Are you okay?" Milo asked her. "I don't know," Andy answered. They sat in silence for a few minutes. "Are we doing the right thing? Getting married, I mean?" Andy asked. Milo looked at her surprised. "I think so, but if you don't think so..." Milo said. Andy sighed. " I don't know what to think anymore Milo," Andy said. "Look Andy, I love you. If you aren't ready to get married, I'll wait for you. I'm not going to let you go," Milo said. Andy's heart melted. She stood up from her desk and walked over to Milo. "I think...we should get married," Andy said and smiled at him. Milo smiled back at her and stood up. She wrapped his arms around him and placed a kiss on his lips. "I love you Milo," Andy said when they parted. "I love you too Andy," Milo said, and their lips met for another kiss, forever and endless love.

Jesse went home two days later. She talked to the police about it, and ended going to the judge. He orded for 300 hundered hours of community serivce and let her off with a huge warning. Andy and Milo made it through all this and are still getting married in three months.

Chapter 12: The Rest Of My Life

Andy and Milo were sitting at Andy's kitchen table on a cool November afternoon, talking about wedding plans and Jesse and Lizzy. Jesse had healed nicely and was almost done with her community service and her and Lizzy were spending the day at a friend's house. "So did you decide what type of flowers you want?" Milo asked. Andy nodded. " I was thinking white roses?" Andy replied. "Good choice," Milo said. Andy smiled. "So next week you have a tux fitting right?" Andy asked. "Yep..I'm going right after work," Milo said. Andy nodded, stood up from the table and walked over to the kitchen counter. She started to fill up a cup of water when Milo stood up from the table and walked over to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and Andy smiled. She set down her water glass and leaned into him. He smiled and kissed her on her head. She shifted her body so that she could lean in to kiss him. Their lips touched and stayed like that for a long passionte kiss. When they parted, Andy smiled at him. "You know we still have to finish the plans on the wedding," Andy said. "I know," Milo said. Andy kissed him again when the phone rang. They both groaned and Andy went to answer the phone. "Campbell," she said. Milo walked behind Andy and started kissing her neck. Andy smiled. "Ok, I'll be right there," Andy said and hung up the phone. She sighed and turned towards Milo. "I have to go into work. They need me," Andy said. Milo nodded. " Then I guess I'll go and finish up some of the plans," Milo said. Andy nodded and went to get her coat. She returned into the kitchen a moment later. "I guess I'll see you later then," Andy said. Milo smiled and pulled her in for one more kiss. When they parted Andy said, "I need to go now," She kissed him one last time and left.

About an hour later, Andy was sitting in her office when someone knocked on her office door. "Come in," Andy said and Milo appeared in the doorway. Andy's face light up. "Hi," Andy said, standing up. She walked over to him and gave him a short sweet kiss. "What are you doing here?" Andy asked. "I just thought I would come by and see my beautiful fiancee," Milo said. Andy smiled at him and gave him another kiss. "You're so sweet," she said and led him to the couch. "Are you almost done here?" Milo asked her. Andy nodded. "Even better..I am done here!" Andy said and kissed him again. When they parted she rested her head on his shoulder. "I can't believe that we're getting married in three weeks," Andy said. Milo smiled. "Are you nervous?" Milo asked her. "You mean about spending the rest of my life with you? No. I'm happy and exicted," Andy said, looking up at him. Milo smiled at her and kissed her gently. " I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you," Milo said. Now it was Andy's turn to smile at him and give him a kiss.
